What we collect, and how to delete it.

This explains what Talktruz does with your information when you use Talktruz. It is written to be read, which we think is the least a privacy policy can do.

01What we collect: Your phone number, so people can find you and so we can sign you in. The people on your panels and the tiles they occupy. Warmth values, because the drift engine has to remember. Voice notes, but only until they have been heard and the day is up. A device token so notifications can reach you, and a record of any subscription.
02What we do not collect: We do not upload your address book. We do not read your call log. We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not build a profile of you, and we run no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
03Audio, and where it goes: Recordings are uploaded to encrypted storage and delivered to the person you sent them to. They are deleted twenty-four hours after they are first played, unless one of you keeps a note. Transcription runs on your device, so no audio is sent anywhere to be read or scored, and no transcript reaches our servers.
04Why we are allowed to: We process this to provide a service you asked for, which is the contract between us. Where the law requires consent instead, such as for notifications, we ask and you can withdraw it.
05Who else sees it: A small number of providers, each doing one job: Twilio to send sign-in codes and guest links, Cloudflare R2 to hold audio briefly, Apple and Google to deliver notifications, and RevenueCat with Apple and Google to handle subscriptions. They act on our instructions. We do not sell data to anyone, and there is no version of this business where we do.
06How long we keep it: Audio: twenty-four hours after it is heard, or until you unkeep a kept note. Account and panel data: while your account exists. Once you delete your account we remove it within thirty days, apart from anything we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
07Your rights: You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting your account from the app is the fastest route. Depending on where you live you may also be able to object to processing or complain to a regulator.
08Children: Talktruz is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
09Where data lives: Our servers and storage are located in India. If your data moves outside the country you are in, we rely on standard contractual clauses to do it lawfully.
10Changes and contact: If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. To ask anything about it, or to exercise a right above, use the contact page. The controller of your data is Talktruz, ADD REGISTERED ADDRESS.
