How it works
Three gestures. That is the entire interface.
Everything happens on one screen, with one thumb, without reading a word. What follows is the whole of it.
The gestures
- Tap
- Plays the voice note waiting on that tileNo thread opens. No history loads. The note plays where the person lives on your grid, and the twenty-four hour clock on it starts the moment you hear it.
- Hold
- Records for up to forty-five secondsThe tile takes over while you speak. A short haptic marks the start so you are not watching a timer, and the limit is a feature: forty-five seconds is a thought, not a monologue.
- Slide away
- Discards the recording before it existsMove your thumb off the tile and let go. Nothing is sent, nothing is stored, and nobody is told you were about to say something.
- Release
- Sends it, immediatelyThere is no review screen and no edit pass. Re-recording a voice note until it is perfect produces exactly the self-conscious performance the app exists to avoid.
The loop
Four steps, and then it disappears.
- 01
You hold a tile and speak.
- 02
It lands on their grid, on your tile, waiting.
- 03
They tap and hear you, in your own voice.
- 04
Twenty-four hours later it is gone, unless one of you kept it.
Reach anyone
The person you miss does not need the app.
Send to someone who has never heard of us and they get a message with a link. It opens in the browser they already have, plays your voice, and offers one button to answer. Nothing to install, no account to make.
Asking a friend to sign up before they can hear you is the wrong first sentence. If they join later, the conversation you already had is waiting on their tile.
Two more things
Send to a circle
One recording, several tiles. Everyone receives it as a private message from you, and their replies come back to you alone. It never becomes a group thread.
Priority people
Up to five people per panel can reach you through a focus mode or a silent evening. Five, because a bypass everyone holds is not a bypass.
